Tinordi out for the game? That's all right, let Roos see some ice time.
And Zach, I believe the game starts at 6 pm Chicago time. |

Is Dach the only opposition player ever booed in a shootout? Well I guess the blogs have to manufacture drama when a big deal is made of a former player on a non playoff team scores in the shootout of a bottom feeder team 25% into a season. |

Dach you very much, says the #3 overall. Borrowing the words from vintage (1969) Alliota Haynes & Jeremiah, for Dach "heading south on Lake Shore Drive, Friday night trouble bound" was a growing or maturing experience.
Hockey is more real for him as he is becoming more like the player he was projected to become NOW in Montreal. A hockey town Montreal, not a flailing hockey environment any more for him.in Chicago
So now Blackhawk fans have no choice but to trust KD. And KD just moved on from Dach getting better value than expected..The Montreal GM rolled the dice on a player he thought Dach could still become
So now we can cheer for Dach's replacement as well as some promising but still not yet polished defense Corp in Rockford. There are four fairly good young dmen plus two somewhat promising Philips and Crevier plying their craft in that dinky remote AHL Rockford town
Rockford itself had a major investment to rebuild the downtown yet the surrounding metropolis remains rather poor.
The rebuild for the Blackhawks would receive a major shot in the arm, a booster shot sort of effect if some of those dmen can advance to Chicago.
I know Mitchell was overwhelmed ar times against a good Boston team. He will get more opportunities this season, as he has been developing well in the AHL.
I am surmising that the youthful Icehog defense has kept them in games, with goaltending being just ok since Soderstrom departed. The past few games their SOC against.have been dramatically lower...........what shapes up as a strong blueline crew has to be our hope to see transition to Chicago. Mitchell, Vladic, Galvas and even Regula are becoming more polished, more consistently playing the way they need to play
Any night heading down Lake Shore Drive, heading to the West Side hockey rink for them.is an exciting adventure I can hardly await to see come true. Keep on improving and they cannot be worse than the crew now skating rather poorly for the Blackhawks.
Just use them up, wear them out...some of the.dmen will.make it, some will not improve enough. Good news is that there are more dmen prospects highly rated not yet reached the AHL level.
To supplement all the dmen prospects, KD is aiming to add to his stockpile of early draft choices.Maybe he'll draft more forwards who can become better than the current weak group toiling now for the Blackhawks |

I think it has more to do with around the league that trade looks so outragedly bad Right now that it makes news when the center point of the trade seeming rubs it into a outraged Hawks crowd . Also after the game Kane and St-Louis both had discouraging words about the trade.
Personally I believe we could have held onto Dach. The trade was made for the future and that is where the trade will be best evaluated. I liked Dach when he was drafted but I also liked
Nazar when he was drafted. He who laughs last, laugh loudest.

A regular comment in past years was that the Hawks should move Gus to forward (because he was terrible at defense). Should the same be said about Caleb Jones (who also is terrible at defense).
Then, in about 3 years, when any 6 of the young Hawk defense prospects make it to the NHL you move Seth Jones to forward also. (Because he is not good at defense and the Hawks have so few forward prospects in their system.)

Haven’t seen Rockford play but based on the statistics, the team defense is weak again. Appears again to be overhype if the prospects. They all seem to be on a par with C. Jones.
I can’t see Korchinski not playing in Chicago next year. Clarke is playing in LA in his 19th year, and the Kings have a HOF defenseman as its GM.
I think KD is keeping the D “prospects” in Rockford not to developed a winning culture, but knows they are fringe NHL ers at best

I think Vlasic is the best LD we have, but i have no problem with them keeping him in the A to climb up the draft ladder |

Yea unlucky for Seth Jones except for the fact he turned it over with a soft pass |

I’d give anything to make sure that neither Seth or Caleb ever put on the Indianhead sweater ever again |

Being the best LD on this team certainly does not mean he is an NHL level player |

Agreed, if they were bonafide NHL'ers we'd have a shut down defense in Rockwirtz.

I went to the Ice Hogs game this past Wednesday and Isaak Phillips stood out as one of the better Dmen that game. I was hoping to see a better game from Galvas, but he looked average. Vlasic can cover a lot of ice. Reichel is pretty weak on the puck and other than a few nice passes and a tap in goal, also looked average. |

Has Davidson done an interview lately? Is he off scouting? The roster is sub-par for sure but to follow up the collapse in Dallas with two lifeless efforts at home should lead to some callups, waiver pick up or adjustment. Lots of penalties and defensive breakdowns. Don't need superstar talent to change momentum. Need some want. |

Some general musings...
7 losses in a row including 1 OTL. Edm in town Wednesday then a 3 game east coast trip - NYI, NYR and NJ. Could be looking at an 11 game winless streak. But really wasn't this to be expected?
Bench was lifeless when the telecast showed it midway through the 3rd. No chatter whatsoever. The good feelings from the decent October start are long gone.
I should start betting the over. At least 7 goals scored in 5 of last 6 games. |

Does he need to tell you again that the team is in the tear-down part of a deep rebuild? Maybe he should remind us all on a weekly basis?

Is it too early to speculate if Kane may stay back in NY in a trade with the Rags?

Islanders are playing better and have more of a chance at a Cup run than the Rangers IMO.

Nice to see Kubalik not in a Hawks jersey. Probably won t finish with 60 points. Anyways, a total liability of a hockey player even when he does score. He will be sitting out the playoffs along with Dach, DeBrincat, and Strome and the current Hawks. So point out individual statistics, let me know how they make their team better. |
